2020 Covid-19 Policies

Event Structure is specified by the State of Colorado, Eagle, and Routt County orders relating to COVID-19

  • Event registration cap is 175
  • Participants will be in groups of 10
  • Groups will be staggered at 10 minute intervals with each participant separated at 30 second intervals

Covid-19 Mitigation

  • Online registration only
  • No walk up registration prior to the event 
  • Virtual racer meeting by video
  • 17.5 participant racer groups consisting of 10 participants each with staggered check-in times at 10 minute intervals for each group
  • Racer groups at check-in are subdivided alphabetically to create smaller sub-groups for ease of maintaining social distancing 
  • Check-in will be scheduled over 2.5 hours at the the trail-head or drop-off locations to manage and maintain group size of 10 and time gaps between groups
  • Post race venue at memorial park, over 200,000 sqft. to allow for 6’ social distance
  • Lunches will be pre-made box lunches by local vendor to avoid food service line 
  • Use of additional tables and fencing to ensure distancing at lunch pickup
  • Additional signage as needed to maintain distancing
  • Awards staggered by category from 1pm-2pm to keep participant number at a minimum
  • Staggered event schedule is designed to maintain lunch and awards below 175 at any given time for participants, sponsors and race crew
  • Mask and/or gloves worn by race crew when not riding bikes Hand sanitation stations will be provided at each event organizer table 
  • Hand sanitizer at port-o-lets
